Dr. Indu M. Anand is a registered patent attorney and admitted to practice law in Massachusetts, handling client matters before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. For more than a decade, Dr. Anand has focused her practice on Intellectual Property Law.  Her particular expertise is in drafting patent applications and prosecuting them on behalf of clients in the Information Technology, Software, Electronics and Mechanical fields.

 

Prior to becoming a patent attorney, Dr. Anand was a Fulbright Fellow studying Applied Mathematics.  Dr. Anand also taught Mathematics to both undergraduate and graduate level students at prominent Universities including UMass-Lowell in Massachusetts and New York University.  She also worked in industry as a software engineer in CAD/CAM, focusing on Artificial Intelligence related products before becoming a patent attorney.

 

After obtaining her undergraduate degree in Mathematics from University of Delhi in India, Dr. Anand moved to the United States and studied for and obtained her Ph.D. in Mathematics from New York University in Manhattan.  She obtained her Juris Doctorate from Massachusetts School of Law and for the past 12 years, Dr. Anand has focused her law practice on Intellectual Property.  She represents clients as an independent contractor, assisting them on patent filings and patent prosecution related services.
